1. Right now we have a wireless-G router our setup is as follows: 1 computer using network adapter (only ~15ft from router) and a laptop upstairs using a network card. My dad is wanting to speed up our network. I was wondering if upgrading to wireless-N would be a notable difference in our situation? We run cable and speedtest.net gave me 4mb down/450kb up. We are mainly wanting to lower our pings and I was wondering if the higher bandwith would affect that. I know N gives a much much larger range but the range isnt the issue in our case.

2. We both play Call of Duty 4. My dad's computer is the one hardwired to the router and mine is the wireless computer roughly 15ft across the room. Our problem here is that we cant both join the same server. I'm sure we arent the only ones with this problem. Does anybody happen to know the fix?

Draft-N would do nothing for the Internet Speed.

If you often transfer huge fies locally (LAN) between the two computers it would save some time.

The judgment if saving this "Time" is worth $200 is your call.

Not really, the bottle neck will still be your wan connection.

Since to the call of Duty server you are projected the same IP. and you probably have one account. you can not join twice at the same time.

For a solution call the Game support and ask them what their solution is. It is their server.
