I'm trying to configure my new mobos with a 2-way SLI using EVGA GTX 280 1GB..

I'm using an EVGA 790i chipset and I have two questions..

1. Will NVIDIA's drivers for Vista do 2-way SLI or only 3-way SLI?

2. Do I need an SLI connector? -- I'm having a hard time finding a 2-way connector except for this-- http://www.supermicro.com/prod...ies/addon/AOC-SLIB.cfm
-newegg.com has a 3-way bridge but it says it supports geforce 8800's

NVIDIA's site indicated that some GTA 280's don't require a SLI bridge, but the instructions on the cards I have say they do

so yeah.. kind of confused here.. if anyone has some experience or good advice, it would be greatly appreciated

1) Yes, nForce drivers will do 2-way on Vista

2) Yes, you need an SLI connector, even if it works without one, I'd want to use one anyway. You should have gotten both a 2-way and a 3-way connector with your motherboard, and I think you can also use a 3-way connector in 2-way SLI as well.
