What happens if you have 2 videocards in at once.. one VGA and one PCI? Can you hook a different monitor to each of them?
 
hmm, so you would have a VGA card with a non VGA PCI card? 😛

anyway, what you described is basically dual monitor stuff, which is done all the time
 
yup, you can have them both, you should be able ot use the software nuilt into Windows to span the monitors...
 
Do you mean AGP, because VGA is a technology not supported by video cards anymore. SVGA is the standard video output. SVGA supports high color and resolution. If you have 2 cards installed only one can be used at a time. You would need to restart and go to bios and change which adapter to use.
 
Hmm.. have anyone actually tried installing both ATI and nVidia cards together? I can't imagine what'll happen to the drivers.
