I have WinXP, 512megs ram, Sempron 2500. i want to dual monitor.

i have a nvidia gf4 4200 and a ati radeon 32meg pci.

How much problems will i have if i use that instead of 2 ati or 2 nvidia cards?

There should be no problem. Many people do it all the time. Use your Ti4200 as your primary display (for playing games) and your Radeon for the 2nd monitor.🙂

I'm not totally sure it will work flawlessly. There's been lots of examples of forceware and catalyst stuff not liking each other. give it a shot though you never know.

I personally run all ATI for my dual monitor 9800 AIW/ 9200 pci. Works good for me.

It might require to turn off 3D acceleration on one card, or it might very complicated to sort out DLLs by hand if you want to start 3D apps on one display or the other.

I ran tri-head with a 8500LE AGP and a FX 5200 PCI but that was under Linux where things are a little more straightforward.

I had to kick out the ATI crap for other reasons, though.
