Sorry that I don't have a clue... :/

What is the diff between drivers by the pc manufacturer(alienware for ex) & drivers by the GPU manufacturer(amd radeon for ex)? & do I need both?

Thx

Alienware doesn't make video cards. The drivers Alienware supplies on whatever disc they give you, are drivers for CPU/Motherboard/Controllers, etc.

If you have a graphics card they have their own drivers.

They are rebranded AMD drivers that Alienware provides.

Oh ok, so if I get a radeon 7970M with my laptop, I won't have to worry about other drivers other than those found at the AMD official website, correct?

I would only revert to the Alienware drivers if I had issues with the latest drivers from AMD. Even then I'd likely at least try the previous release first if the latest drivers from Alienware were somewhat old.
