2 sticks of OCZ RAM - 2T

Hi guys. I have a pair of ocz titanium (2x1G) and when I checked timmings and command rate cpuz gave me 2T. I emailed Gigabyte (mobo manufaturer) and this is their answer:
Thank you for supporting GIGABYTE products and contacting GBT Tech Support. As to the problem you mentioned, the set up value show up in the BIOS setting is according to the SPD value on memory modules. If you still have any further question or suggestion about our products/service, please do not hesitate to contact with us directly. We will try our best to help you resolve the problem ASAP.
My mobo is GA-K8NF9 and CPU AMD 64 Winchester 3200+.
Also I tried to overclock it a bit (from 200 to 210) I received a nice BSOD with a memory management error.
Any thoughts? Thanks.

1. Run Memtest86.
2. Nothing guarantees ram to run at 1T unless they specify in the specs it will.
3. Have you tried setting the command rate manually?

1.I ran memtest, what should I look for other than errors?
2.I don't see why one of the best DDR400 RAM would run at 2T. Can't find anything about it on ocz page.
3.I could find the option in BIOS.
Thanks for your ideas.

I see you posted over at BE as well and I replied.

Go into the bios and press CTRL-F1 at the main bios screen, that should unlock a hidden menu that will have ram timings in it.

What slots do you have the ram in? Are they the right ones for Dual Channel? if you are in Single Channel the board will default to 2T.

Contrary to what Gigabyte told you....OCZ does not program 1T or 2T on the SPD....the bios of the board sets that part up for a default boot.

Thank you ryder. I knew there was hidden options, I just didn't know how to enable them. I found "Enable 2T timmings" it was on auto, I disabled it.
The RAM is in dual channel, according to the mobo manual and cpuz. Should I ran memtest or 1T is the right command rate and there shouldn't be any problems. Also, any ideas why I can't overclock?

I thought the titanium series was meant for business side of things and for overclocks the gold and platinum series.

I dont know really how well the titanium series will overclock, but did you try bumping up the voltage first?

The RAM is rated for 1T. If it can't run at 1T, it's the motherboard's problem, or you have bad RAM (knowing OCZ, bad RAM is unlikely).

Titanium has some nice customer service warranty strings attached, next day replacement part exchanges, stuff like that. With proper cooling and an extra one or two tenths of a volt, it should have at least SOME overclocking headroom.

I see your reply at BE...but I would much rather keep it over there since that is the official OCZ Support forum.

I will post over there.

Thanks
