My current motherboard limits my DDR400 RAM to DDR333 because I am using two double-sided DIMMs. I am considering "upgrading" my board to something which does not have this limitation. I have heard nothing but good things about the DFI Lanparty UT nF3 250Gb, but would like some clarification if this board will actually solve my problem or not.

Here is my current setup:
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (754)
Gigabyte GA-K8VNXP
1GB (2x512MB) Corsair Value Select PC3200

Any cheaper alternatives to the DFI board would also be appreciated. Firewire a must.

Thanks!

The limitation is on the CPU, not the motherboard. The DFI will allow you to force DDR400, although stability is not guarenteed.
