Has anyong have good luck with using samsung ram when running dual channel on a nforce 2 board. The problem occurs when running onboard graphics. I hear that crucial 2700 doesn't work and neither does kingston or muskin when using onboard graphics. Those who have two sticks runing dual channel, can you try onboard graphic and run prime 95.

I had a error after 3 hours of prime95 when running dual channel of crucial 2700. I'm trying to decided on getting 2 sticks of samsung 512 or 2 sticks of corsair cms 512c2 I do not want to get corsair because of the price and the twinmos winbond is as expensive.

thanks

There are definately memory compatibility issues with these boards. Who makes your board? Go to their website and look at the memory compatibility chart.

Where is the best place to find Samsung ram? I'm ordering tomorrow and am looking to buy 2 good price/performance 512meg chips of PC2700. I was looking at Crucial until I heard about the issues with the nforce2 boards.

Newegg is a safe bet for Samsung Original True PC2700, but they are often out of stock (very hot seller). SVC recently sent me a flier that they had Samsung Original True PC3200 in stock so you can check them out as well. Not sure about pricing though, as RAM prices have been falling all over recently. Typically googlegear reflects price drops faster than most of the other online e-tailers, but I'm not sure if they stock Samsung Original/True dimms.
