2 slow when creating movies??

a PC with the following spex shows extreme slowliness only when converting movies from VCR to MPEG-1 format using Ulead Video Studio 6.0:

MoBo: Gigabyte 8IE533 P4 Bus clock: 100 MHz
CPU: 2644 MHz Intel P4-Full Cached
RAM: 768 MB SD
HD: 120 GB 7200 rpm SeaGate
Display Card: Nvidia GeForce 4 MX 64 MB
OS: Windows 2000 Pro SP4

I guess that those spex r more than enough for video conversion.
So whats the issue here?
