I think users who are looking to spend money on dual setup should really like this because you get the performance of the 7900GT SLi and use up only 2 slot!!

and also from vr-zone

PCInpact came to know that GeForce 7950 GX2, a revised version of the 7900 GX2 shorter in length so they can be fitted into most cases will be launched on May 30th. We have confirmed the launch date too but pricing is unknown yet. Another exciting technology, the SLI Physics will be available in second half of this year when the games are ready for it. We have also heard that G80 will not be in time for launch this Computex as it is slated for a later date.

I think the delay of Vista is delaying this card. Could we expect a G71 refresh hence G75? this too also means the R600 could be pushed into more suitable time for Vista hence we could see a R580 refresh?

edit - with the delay of Vista, i think we could be seeing more refreshes from other camps. The R560/R570 comes into mind although i dont think they will be on 80nm due to problems at TSMC. But i wouldnt mind a dongless dual GPu solution. Would be great.

On the other news, dell sold all their renegade XPS600 in 3days. That is 2000 units costing around $20000USD? :Q

EVGA KO on sale now!
Looks pretty sweet although the speed is slower than the 7900GT CO superclock version.

The heatsink looks cool and all that, but what is the point of the KO? It just looks like it cools the ram too.

The KO just looks like a regular CO edition (Same clocks) with a different HSF. Really not worth the extra $50 they want for it.

Yeh, but one of those quad SLi cards can count as 7900GT SLi. When you get "two" of them, you can form quad SLI.

That eVGA KO cooler is actually the referance 7900 GT cooler minus the copper.
Nvidia just decided to debunk the design last minute, I assume to save costs and people OC'ing the 7900 GT too much.
Asus also do a card with that cooler.

problem is, for the extra money you spend on that cooller version (in the UK at least) you may aswell buy the standard version and an extra VF900 (£25).
The best cooling solution for a 7900 GT thus far is Gainwards "Golden sample" and "goes like hell" versions, which I belive come with the old 7800 GT or GTX cooler.

You chould change your title to "2 Slot Quad SLI solution" -- we already have 2 slot SLI solutions!
