2 simple questions - one about AMD MP processors, and 1 about 802.11

1st Question: Can you use an AMD MP processor in a standard socket a motherboard alone? Any caveats I need to know about?

2nd Question: I'm almost sure this is correct, but I've never had wireless before. You can mix and match any manufacturer, example 2 PCI Uniden 802.11b cards, 1 netgear PCMCIA 802.11b card, and an SMC 802.11b router? Any caveats, etc?

2.) Mixing wireless isn't usually a problem. I have a netgear router, 2 dlink pci cards, and a xterasys pcmcia card. No real problems.
