2 shows coming on tonight at same time

I am wanting to Watch Atomic Twister ch40 and Junkyard wars on TLC but they both come on at 9:00pm. I have a VCR and a tv with PIP feature is there anyway I can record Junkyard wars and record Atomic Twister at the same time?

Does anyone know if TBS will be showing Atomic Twister twice tonight back to back?

Someone is actually going to watch Atomic Twister? I saw it advertised on Netscapes home page, and found it so funny that I almost started a thread here on AnandTech about it. I honestly thought it was some kind of joke at first. Anyways, use 2 different VCR's

Well I like movies about twisters. Anyway it looked fair enough to watch. I was thinking can I maybe get a splitter and run my cable to my VCR and then run a separate cable to my TV? That way I can put the VCR on ch40 and have it record and still be able to flip the channels with my TV to junkyard wars?

Run the coax cable to the VCR
turn the VCR's power button on
Run coax cable to TV from VCR
turn on TV
Turn on the TV/VCR button with TV at channel 3 and program VCR to record channel 40
set VCR to record
Turn off the TV/VCR button (that way your TV doesn't have to be on channel 3)
watch any other channel as the VCR records channel 40
