2 SATA drives

If i wnat to raid 2 Sata drives as raid 0 And one of the drives is a Raptor 1000rpm and one is seagate 7200 will this slow my raid config down alot?
 
Dunno, but surely after being here for almost six years you'd know which forum to post in?

Oh, and it's really not a good idea to try and RAID a Raptor and a regular Seagate.

I think you can, but I also think they'll default to lowest common denominator, like Raid 1 does.

Yes, you lose the extra capacity of the bigger drive.

Eg. 60Gb & 80Gb in RAID-0 makes a 120Gb drive, 20Gb lost.
 
lol... rule of thumb with computers... the overall speed is only as fast as the slowest device.

You might be able to do it, but it wouldn't be very efficient. You'd be losing the speed and capacity of the Raptor.
