2 routers, can't see all computers on the network

I have 2 Netgear N150 routers that are connected together.

Router 1 is connected to a Comcast modem
Router 2 is connected to router 1 with an ethernet cable.

The internet connection on router 2 works great, but the computers on that router can't see the computers on router 1 even though they all share the same workgroup name.

Anyone know what I need to configure to get all of the computers to see each other?

Note: The N150 does not support bridging, there is also no custom firmware currently available for that model either.

Short version of what Jack posted:

Disable the DHCP server on router 2. Connect the cable between the two routers to a LAN port on router 2 instead of the WAN port. This will make router 2 act as an access point and not a router so all computers connected to both routers will be able to communicate with each other.

I'll Jack's point.

You essentially had two distinct subnets, hence your issue at hand. A router's function is to forward data between networks, and usually a router cannot detect nodes on another subnet.

Hmm, I just set up a new routeer as my main and simply changed the ip address of the secondary to cascade it from the main to keep it in use supplying my home phone signal. Didn't do any other changes but didn't try acess from secondary router to a computer on the primary. Will have to do that now as an experiment.

Thanks guys, I finally got around to trying those suggestions and it worked perfectly. Basically I just disabled the dhcp on the 2nd router and used the lan instead of the wan port.

thanks again
