can one run two set of RAID on a single Z77 chipset (mb is an asus z77ws)?
RAID 1 for data drive via port 3 n port 4 - 3.0Gb/s on Z77 (two Seagate 3TB hd)
and
RAID 0 for boot drive via port 1 n port 2 - 6.0Gb/s on Z77(two vertex4 128 ssd)
and
port 5 and port 6 not in use.
There is also a Marvell controller onboard - so that is an available option.
port 1 and port 2 not in use.
-----
currently running RAID 1 data drive via port 3 and port 4 on Z77.
currently running single boot drive via port 1 on Z77.
marvell controller not in use.
-----
need more space.
buy another vertex4 128 and go RAID 0 for 256GB
or
buy vertex4 256 and sell vertex4 128 for 256GB
