2 R9 290 or 290X vs EVGA GTX 680 SC+ SLi

So I maybe looking to upgrade new monitor and/or Video card.

Really interest in the NEW Asus ROG Swift PG278Q (is NOT out yet, but maybe sometime this month or next month.

or

ACER G-sync 4K monitor (Again, is not out yet)

Maybe my currently setup will do just fine? or go TriSLI GTX 680
or
Them SEXY looking Sapphire 290 Vapor X in Xfire? i know i won't get the benefit of G-sync since both monitor support G-sync.

So how big of a performance will i see if i get the 290 in xfire or 290X in Xfire?

Probably best to get the monitor and then see if you'll need a performance upgrade on the gpu end. I'm guessing you will but could be dependent on the games you play and settings you choose.

GTX 680 SLI is going to be weaker than GTX 770 SLI in the following link.

I went from 680 SLI 2gb @ 1200core and 6400 mem
to
Stock clocked 290's in x-fire

At 1440P I definitely get much better frames and it has allowed me to up the visuals and still play at 90+fps/hz

I lost shadowplay and game streaming (shield) on top of gsync support, but having mantle is really useful NOW which is nice.

and I already have a non-gsync monitor.
