Hey all, I have some probs with Linux. Has anyone been able to get an NVIDIA card running OpenGL fine with 7.2? If so, HOW?! I installed Mandrake 7.2 the other day on my 'new' 6 GB hard drive. Install went very smoothly, and it all booted up flawlessly. I was anxious to see if OpenGL was working so I tried a Mesa demo and it crashed right away. No OpenGL apps would work. I tried getting NVIDIA's drivers to work, but XFree86 wouldn't load any driver modules (I set Driver "nv" in the XF86Config and that gave me errors too). Eventually I attempted to update XF86 to a newer version via RPMs, but it needed some libraries and in the midst of trying to install those libraries (and the dozens of libraries that stood between me and it) I managed to screw up GLIBC and now that partition is screwed.
Next question, much shorter: If I bought a cheap Voodoo2 card to run when I'm in Linux, will I have any problems setting that up?
Thanks all!
