2 questions: is 2.8v too high for DDR ram and has had SNDS at 1.7v?

I have just bumped my system to 3.0...2.4@3.02 at 167fsb...Stock HSF
My mobo is IT7 Max2 Rev2..it undervolts by 0.25v so bios 1.725=1.7v

2.4@3.02 at 167 at 1.7v is this safe??
Crucial PC2100 2x 256 at 2.8v...is this safe??

The max I would go for a DDR is 2.9v...but 2.8v is high but the Crucial u hv will be able to take it.

SNDS @ 1.7v...it's OK to me.

In both instances you have increased voltages by 11-12%. As long as you have good cooling you should be fine. However watch the P4 voltages since 1.7v is approaching the high side and you must have heard about sudden death syndrome for P4s - I just had one fail P4 O/C after 9 months at 2.144 now back to 1.6 (thank god it can still run at spec). Personally I run all my P4s at around 1.5- to 1.525 voltage (1.6A at 2.2 and 1.8A at 2.5).
