2 questions: HSF and thermal compound

1. Anyone using Cooler Master XDream (not the SE) HAC-V81? is it good enough?
2. say.. If I read some news, threads and reviews -and I got this conclusions: Volcano9 decreases CPU temp by 5° and ArcticSilver decreases temp by 5°. So if I use both stuff, will I got 10° decrease in CPU temp?

thanks!!

I think there are much better HS out there now than the Volcano 9. Look at Thermalrights SK7, SLK800, or SLK900.

Temperature increases or decreases are not a guaranteed thing. With what change did the reviewers get a 5c drop? I would expect maybe a 2-3c drop with artic silver at most when compared to generic silicone compound. Maybe 5c when compared to no compound or on a seriously overclocked machine.

A 10c drop is pretty big. I wouldnt really expect a 10c drop from that upgrade. What are your current temperatures?

/me loves my volcano 9 with auto-adjusting fan speed based on included thermal probe

typicall the fans spins around 1500rpm on bootup and 3500rpm after a game, just fyi
