I recently bought a 2001 ford windstar that had a number of stickers on it. they came off easily enough with a heat gun and some elbow grease, but some stickers had a stronger adhesive that i havent been able to get rid of completely.

ive tried, in addition to the heat, a mild solvent that I knew wouldnt cause any damage, and some Kroil (because....it was sitting there, and actually worked quite well, but not well enough) is there something i can get at an auto parts store or elsewhere that will work without ruining the paint job?

also, it has no cruise, is this something that can be added for under a couple hundred bucks? will it be reliable?

thanks :)

You might try Meguiars paint cleaner. Might take a lot of elbow grease and it might take off paint eventually, especially on a cheap Ford paintjob. How many square inches we talking about here anyway?

I have no idea on the after market cruise control.

Find yourself a reputable aftermarket installation shop and aftermarket cruise control is quite reliable.

If he's never installed one then find someone who has. There is some adjusting (could be off by 5mph or more if not adjusted properly) and installation tricks that make the experience well worth any extra money spent.

Use goo gone for the sticker residue. It works wonders. Dunno about the aftermarket cc.
