2 Questions: CNR cards any good?? Fastest/Best PCI card??

I'd like to make use of the onboard network interface controller(Intel) on my Asus CUSL2 with a CNR(slot) card. They seem to be rare, has anyone who's gotten one care to comment on their quality/speed compared to a good PCI card?

Also, if CNR isn't the way to go, what is the pinnacle of PCI NICs at the moment?? Well maybe not the pinnacle($$$), but a really nice high end 10/100 card. Are there any NIC card review links you know of that compares a whole whack of em?

Thanks for any help folks!

I'm still wondering if anyone has any info on the CNR cards.
How do they compare to PCI cards in CPU usage, throughput, etc.??
Thanks for any help or links.

nice high end: 3com or intel.
one that works for most applications: dlink, linksys, netgear...

3com or intel cards cost several times that of dlink, linksys or netgear... but those last three work just fine...

online, you can find 3com or intel cards between $50 to $100 dollars.
