Without using the classic start menu, how can you make things under "all programs" cascade like the older versions of windows? Having to manually click to show items under a program folder is really bad (even win95 did that), having to to manually scroll down a list to see a list of all items under the programs is flat out piss poor design (even DOS could at least show me all the folders with dir /w). I tried a third party app I think called Vista Start Menu, which is good but I don't think I should have to have an app taking up 5 MB of memory just to do this (and also it didn't show the "startup" folder for some reason, makes me wonder what else it won't show that it should).
Also I don't think this is Vista specific, but I changed the Admin name, but still the folder under "Users" remains with the old name, and I still see references to that old name here and there. I don't see anything I can do about it, and a little googling shows me it would be dangerous to try. Am I stuck with this old name? (and just out of curiosity does Mac and Linux have a similar problem?).
