A friend has asked the following questions about his 7800GTX and dual monitors, one being LCD, the other CRT:

1. Can each monitor have a its own color profile, or must they be the same?
2. Can each monitor have its own resolution, or must they be the same?

As I do not run a dual-monitor setup, I wasn't 100% sure of the answers.
Your input is appreciated.

Well, originally, we were at work where he couldn't test it. But his original question about color was "Can i calibrate each monitor's color?" and my translation was "can each have it's own color profile?".

I know my ViewSonic monitor came with a special tool for calibrating the montior's colors, and I'm assuming he can do the same with each of his monitors using that "spider" software or whatever it is called. Then he could fine-tune it with the "color profiles" feature in Nvidia's display control panel.

I just wanted to verify that this does indeed work with his particular card and config being 1 VGA-out and 1 DVI-output.

Is this all done through the display properties and Nvidia's control panel? If so, he probably already has his answer, but i told him i would find out for sure tonight and report back at work.
