Just wanted to know if each drive should be
on a separate cable and should each drive be
configured as a master with jumpers if not
how else can it be done?
 
I'm guessing this is for IDE RAID 0. You will get better performance if you have the drives on separate channels (or cables). Set them both to master. Then both drives can be accessed at the same time instead of only one at a time.
