2 questions about MCX4000

I just got an MCX4000. The first question is how do I get the heatsink retention frame off of the mobo? The second question is should I have the fan sucking or blowing?

1. There are little pins in the stock retention bracket... you have to push the pins up from the bottom of the mobo. After they have been pushed up then, the stop is free to pull through the mobo.
2. I would suggest having the fan blow down rather than suck away 🙂... for me it was about 3-4 degrees difference @ idle.

It helps to push those pins with a needle-nose pliers, but be very very careful you do not slip and scratch the motherboard surface/circuits!

As the previous poster stated, have the fan blow air into the heatsink rather than suck air up.
