2 questions 1 about Linksys routers and 1 about Linksys cable modem

1. Router.

A guy told me that they do not have a hardware firewall is this true? I could have sworn they had something like that in it

2. Modem

Another guy told me you can't set up a network with the linksys cable modem. I find this hard to believe. Who is correct?

I think I shall reveal my sources for this information

1. A fellow Best buy employee said he came back from a training and he said that they told him only 1 brand had a hardware firewall. Not sure what brand. I severly doubted him because that was one of my selling points for my Linksys router.

2. Anther fellow BB employee from a different store said he recommended the Linksys modem but said it was unable to be used in a network. Again I was shocked and just walked away.

I like to think we at BB know our stuff very well but even the best get bad information

yes, they were definitely class A morons. the subnet for these guys is ad infinitum.

i just scoped out some specs and they were definitely 100% wrong, heh.
