I keep hitting the external audio rocker on my Windows 8.1 tablet. Is there a way to disable the external audio switch?

Also, I am deaf in my left ear. I have had a hard time finding info on how to get mono out in Windows 8. The tablet speakers don't have the typical option.

As for disabling...I'm sure there's something driver level that'd disable it, but it might end up being more hassle than it's worth ( not to mention you didn't specify what brand table, model number, etc ).
As for mono, Might I ask why you need mono out? I'm only asking, as I'm legally deaf in my right ear ( last time the doc checked, I had 14% hearing left ) and even then, when I'm wearing my IEM's, I prefer a stereo sound.
But, I'm sure that's all personal preference.
