2 pin power connector / aspire x-dreamer ii thermostat

i have this case (courtesy of newegg). i bought it from a friend for cheap, but he'd lost a two pin power connector that powers the lcd display for the thermostat. i believe the plug on the thermostat is female, so i'd need the male adapter.

does anyone know where i can pick up this adapter for cheap? i've tried plugging in three pin adapters (two pins in + & ground, - & ground, +&- i think) and it wouldn't work.

let me know if i need to explain myself better
