2 pin ? 3 pin connecter for panaflo?

Does the Panaflo fan come with 2 pin or 4 pin connecter?

Panaflos generally come with no connector at all, and do not support third-wire rpm monitoring. Just two wires, unless special ordered "tailed" which generally means a standard 4-pin molex connector with two empty holes. Not much point in running them from the motherboard 3-pin connectors except if the board has and you want advanced sleep mode features to shut a fan off when the computer is idle.

so if i bought a regular 2 pin panaflow fan, can I just connect it to the motherboard 3-pin fan connectors? Will it just work fine but not have the rpm sensor? or will i need to do some wire stripping and rewiring?

You can use the ground and power pins of a 3-pin motherboard header and ignore the RPM pin. Works fine. You will need a plug that fits the header, and that means a three-pin plug, even if you'll only use two of the three holes.

Alternately, you can power the fan using the power supply harness. The yellow wire is +12V and the black ones are ground. Connect the fan's red wire to the +12V and the fan's black wire to ground.
