that is my niece in the second picture...she is so cute. she will watch this baby einstein DVD my sister bought for her for hours haha. i thought it would be amusing to have the shotgun in the picture with her but it turned out to be pretty lame. yeah, you can make fun of me for that.

edit: its a remington 870. i posted about it in my "where to buy a shotgun for home defense" thread

is that for hunting or protection, or both? i have a single shot .22 back on the farm somewhere. the old man has a sweet Browning .22 with a nice scope on it, for shooting coons between the eyes. man those things can take a few slugs before coming down out of a tree - it's like they're wearing armour sometimes.

both. i got a few different chokes for it depending on what ill be doing. mostly im going to leave it around the house in a spot where i can grab it quickly with a few buckshots on the round carrier attached to the stock. im not going to leave one in the chamber though. FYI, there are no kids at my house. its just me and my sister so the danger is very minimal, if not zero.

yeah well id rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. if someone breaks in my house they are gonna get a few buckshots to the chest. i wont let them kill me or my sister if i can help it.

I lived with my sister for a couple years while in college and it sucked. I am borderline OCD and she is borderline slob so that didn't help things.
