Ok So I have a thermaltake 500w power supply which comes with one PCI-E connector. If I want to buy a Graphics card which requires 2 PCI-E connectors, Will this work by using a PCI-E connector from the power supply and using the attachable peripheral to PCI connector that comes with the graphics card??

As long as you have enough voltage on the 12V rail you should be fine using one of the 4 pin molex to 6 pin pci-e connectors.

if your "500 watt" psu only has one 6 pin connector then that is probably a good indication that its not a very good psu.

list the exact model psu that you have and the rest of your pc specs in detail.

EDIT: it looks like you may have the Purepower model which is garbage. they dont even bother to list the combined 12v rating but its probably only 22 or 23 amps at best. unless the rest of your pc is VERY low power than I would not even risk trying to run that card.

in the hardwaresecrets review of this power supply they said it should be labeled as a 300 watt psu. lol
