I am finally almost done assembling my new comp. I heard that it is possilble to load two different OSs so that when I turn on my computer I can choose if I want win or linux. I wasn't sure if this was possible using just win or linux so I brought out my old friend dos(blow the dust off it). I figured I would just partition the drive and then edit cmos to ask me which to load. Is there another way to do this without using dos or screwing with cmos?

If ya have windows installed and then install your linux, linux wil install a boot loader that will allow you to choose which OS to load. If ya use the seach forum you will find extinsive instructions on how to set up a multiboot system. I used it to help me set up a WinME\Win2000\Linux\BeOS system.
