MS's Intellimouse Optical didn't track well enough for me in FPS games (tested the mouse in Quake 3 Arena). Those fast twitch "errors" and having to lift the mouse fairly high to recenter it on the pad turned me away from the MS optical mice. I'm sticking to ball mice (Karna says their Mamba should be released in the spring, around April/May
