I don't have a link for this yet so I apolagize for that in advance, but I work at night and heard the news several times on the radio and found this most interesting.
The Toronto Police Chief In true Political correctness stated that the 17 terrorists religion and the fact that many of the 17 attended the same mosque had no bearing on anything and proceeded to blame social factors and such for thier actions.
They also had a very brief blurb on from the Imam of this Mosque.
I have critisized muslims many times for not being outspoken enough against this type of stuff, so I want to be just as quick to applaud them, when I see them stepping up to the plate.
To paraphrase the interview what he essentially said was , he did not know they ( the ones who attended his mosque) had these violent tendacies ,that it saddened him because we must understand that to hold this hate and violence in your heart is to NOT be a good muslim.
And continued saying we (muslims) must do a better job of teaching our children that these actions are not right.
Personally I think he has hit the nail right on the head, and I applaud him for his courage and wisdom.
And I genuinly felt that he meant what he was saying.
if anyone has links to any of this in print feel free to post them.
