If this is a police assassination in response to police having a license and using it to kill innocent people , than it's so damn sad there are assholes out there who have no faith that the system can't be righted by the good will of better people. People always create what they fear by punishing the police and creating terror of common citizens that can best be dealt with by the illogic of more and more police brutality, Those killers are infected by the very mentality they hate. Poor sick bastards. But by acceptance of police injustice, we create people who think that way. Can we please learn to see that violence begets violence..... endlessly.....

I don't know what you learn from something like this, other then to point out clearly those who do not understand what a criminal is. A criminal can be anyone and everything, they wear police uniforms, they wear OR scrubs, they wear a business suit, and they even wear a hoody.

Criminals are human beings, who commit such horrible acts, that are then punished when found guilty.

Idiots are human beings, who commit horrible acts, we may or may not punish them depending on how stupid they are, but in the end...they don't really understand their own actions.

Angels are human beings, who commit horrible acts, but never get caught and are seen as perfect people. We all sin, it's just a matter of getting caught and owning up to it. Maybe we did something stupid, maybe we did something criminal.

Moonbeam, nobody is perfect. You will never live in a perfect world. But I will tell you, you live in a world where someone who murders two people eating lunch in a car can NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER ever be fucking rationalized with people doing criminal acts, stupid acts, or god knows what else.

Fuck you for trying to rationalize a brutal murder. I still like you Moonbeam, I'm just disappointed.

I imagine we will shortly find out this man was seriously mentally ill and that his violent outbursts may have been exacerbated by the constant head pounding and non-fucking existent "White cops murdering black boys" shit that is drooling on national news.

Don't hold back. I've read your stupid posts in all those police threads, justifying their actions and making light of police brutality. Well, here's your chance to be angry, for once. Have at it.

"What do we want? Dead cops! When do we want it? Now!"

When you march the streets of NYC chanting that, it appears that some folks are going to take it to heart. Will de Blasio stay away from their funerals as asked?

http://nypost.com/2014/12/12/cops-to-de-blasio-stay-away-from-our-funerals/

I wasn't too fond of the whole keep Deblasio away from police funerals thing...that seemed way too of a "uniony" thing and a "Deblasio doesn't support our troops" card.

When people say shit like that...it just completely removes the ability to discuss, learn, and grow from bad situations.

All I'm angry at is the complete and utter lack of motivation in this country to help our mentally ill. We let crazy people shoot up movie theatres, schools, and offices. We let them do it and we don't do a god damn thing about it. Sadly, this will not do anything still.

We wouldn't have to worry about ISIS here or people doing crazy shit if we just gave a god damn about helping people. I would bet $$$ that 99% of the most despicable stuff we see on the news is a direct result of severe mental illness.

No, let's not talk about that, lets talk about 1800's racism. Let's talk about future cybernetic thought war. Let's talk about blah blah blah blah....

What? WTF does that have to do with today's incident? Nothing. If you really want to analyze/critique gun violence, start with the damn guns. There are 300m guns in America right now. Think about that...

I'm fond of it. de Blasio threw the Police force under the bus by telling the world that he essentially told his son that he needed to be suspicious of the Police. He doesn't support them. He gave them a big public "fuck you" and they gave it right back to him. He deserved it. Should they have thanked him?

I hope for his sake he's found some thick skinned cops to keep guard over him and his family. They could just turn and face the wrong direction sometime.

Was it purposeful or is he just that plain stupid? IMO he thought it best to stoke the fires.

Anyway, the thread isn't about de Blasio.

The media didn't kill these officers, just like an evil gun didn't kill these officers. A murderous POS did. I understand your comment as it applies to MB but EG? What lies did the "media" put forth? People were able to generate their own opinions bases on the video. I'm sure if you were a black man you'd feel completely different about the worsening relations between black men and LEOs the past umpteen years. It certainly doesn't justify or excuse his actions but you have never looked out of the eyes of a black person nor walked a mile in one's shoes.

RIP

Bullshit, the false narrative and coddling of the thug culture killed these cops. Had the media and these asshole parents not been race hustlers the entire time and been truthful, that their thug kids were killed because they were thugs, then it'd be different. This racist fuck is just as racist as Sharpton and Jackson. The ignorance portrayed, that all cops are evil, fuck the police, cop killer, it's all the same shit.

Bigotry is bigotry, no matter if it is against all black people, all white people, or all cops. This is what people don't get.

I hope you're happy Shane. This is what you want.

Haha, the crazy here tries to blame this on protesters calling for dead police and then talks about how cops can elect not to protect the mayor.

This is how deeply insane people like boomerang are. Their partisanship has totally overwhelmed them.

Well, this will totally alleviate the cops' anxiety when approaching black people/suspects.

Sounds now like the typical All-American domestic dispute that spirals out of control. Kill your girlfriend, take a couple of cops with you, put a gun in your mouth. Kill your wife, kill all of your kids, drive your car into a bridge abutment.

Doesn't even remotely qualify as a mental health problem. It's what we do. It's become the norm, not the exception.

If he committed suicide then it sounds like he had some other issues other than just hating cops.

It sucks for all of those involved or affected.

This only highlights that things need to change. This could have easily been about two cops who routinely patrolled a city looking for people to help and who bacame mentors to the troubled youth they protected. It could have been about a troubled man, struggling to make it, whose life seemed like it was over and no where to turn but because he grew up with police officers protecting him, mentoring him, they were able to see his struggle and they were able to help and talk him down that ledge. This story could have ended with two hero cops just doing what they normally do, protecting the people they serve, even if it's protecting the people from themselves. It could have been about a black man who struggled through life who reached some dark days only to be shown the light by two officers who were willing to make a difference and reached out to the troubled man.

Instead we have someone seeking justice in world that seems unfair and two cops are dead and no justice will be given but the cycle will continue with nothing changing except perceptions becoming even more engrained.

Policing is more than just issuing tickets and arresting law breakers, it's about building trust and relationships that make everyone feel safe and secure.

It's tragic but not surprising, sadly.

You don't even know what justice is. You want a witch hunt, not justice.

Bigotry is a big problem, as your post illustrates.

My post illustrates that people need to be truthful with how/why people are killed. You want to go out and assault a guy who may or may not be armed, you might get shot. You want to assault a police officer, you might get shot. You want to resist arrest, you might get shot. These aren't angels, they are thugs. Celebrating them or being unrealistic about how/why they died is ridiculous.

You want to stop racism? Protect the truly innocent, harshly punish the guilty, and stop scapegoating.

But why do that? Hadiya Pendleton doesn't sound nearly as good as "Hands Up, Don't Shoot", that false narrative that anti-cop bigots have stuck to.

You bleeding heart liberals take blame in this. Had you been honest with yourselves, and everybody else, this probably wouldn't have happened.

Sounds like a police problem to me. Being anxious of a certain race says more about you than the race. An incident like this should be a wake-up call that police need to dial back the violence or things will get ugly, fast.

STFU already. What about Akai Gurly? He was just taking the stairs with his gf when he was shot by police. Was he a thug too?

"mental health is exactly what we should be talking about after incidents like this."

Yes - the mental health of NY people who vote for a guy who sympathized with Sandinista's, honeymooned with Castro and got arrested twice at anti-US rallies. Throw in a Marxist head case president and radical DoJ agitator who released Black Panthers who harassed voters after calling for murder of white babies.

Obviously Americans (and I use the term lightly) who voted for people like this are a bit mental. Millions of white Americans voted for a black president and got a Marxist revolution as thanks (Obama was apologizing to Castro this week for taking so long to help him). This shooting will be another nail in Dem coffin but they aren't really Dems anymore anyway. They may as well break out the red berets and grow Che mustaches.

So you are saying this was a justified and reasonable man reacting to percieved cases of police abuse?

I suppose i understand now why ISIS is able to recruit in USA :(
