I think a good starting point would be that everyone in this thread bitching about the police should become one. Then they could change the system from the inside out as they want.

The way that works in most industries / businesses etc is you fire half the department and replace them with new blood that has been trained and talked to about their mission. You also give those same people easy access to folks at the top who have the power to 'fix' things within the department.

That's how you get rid of good ol boys and people entrenched in a process.

Of course that won't happen with the police unions in the way.

Hard working human race. The ones that work hard, offer no excuse, owe up to their mistakes, say what they mean and mean what they say.

lol @ AT's biggest racist. Your parents must have been shitty people too.

What did I told you last time? Stop following me around and licking my butthole. I am not into that. So nasty. Darn, get a hint, you are NOT wanted. Did your parents ever teach you "no means no"? Shoooshooo, get lost.

Your anger is as may be, and presently personal attacks are allowed in P&N, but "licking my butthole" is not appropriate language. Everyone else, please take note. From the posted P&N guidelines:

2. Insults or personal attacks are ALLOWED.
(the "no insult" rule was struck down by community vote Jun 06, 2012)
DH0 personal attacks and insults are acceptable in P&N

8/3/12 -- Insults and personal attacks, while permitted, are not to be excessively vitriolic or scatological in nature, nor will any one poster be allowed constantly engage in them. Please let common sense, and some idea of proportion and civility be your guide.

Unions don't necessarily have anything to do with the "good ole boy" problem, it is prevalent in many areas where no unions are involved

Maybe this was already posted... Maybe not.

http://www.cnn.com/2014/12/23/us/new-york-police-killer-brinsley/index.html?hpt=hp_t2

From the article:
"Brinsley had a long rap sheet and struggled with mental illness.
In a 2011 hearing in Cobb County, Georgia, he pleaded guilty to theft, property damage, possession of a firearm by a felon and discharging a gun near a public street after he used a stolen .25-caliber handgun to fire into a gold Chevy Malibu.
When asked by a judge at the hearing whether he'd ever been a patient in a mental institution or under the care of a psychologist or psychiatrist, he answered yes, according to court documents.
He had an extensive criminal record, including at least 19 arrests, a two-year prison term and several stints in Georgia jails, said New York Police Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce."

19 arrests. 2011, felon with a firearm discharging it into a vehicle... and this motherfucker wasn't for some reason still in prison?

Yet people are validating his rage against police that day and tying it to the protest over Mike Brown, Eric Garner and police brutality? This guy didn't have any valid beef with police - He was a fucking criminal. Another poster child exposed as unworthy.

Find the quote and I will apology to you in public. Can't find it, you apology to me in public and get the fuck out of my way. Don't be such a coward, step up or shut the hell up. First it was my Engrish, now it is my sig? LOL, stay focus on the topic. How pathetic that you are.

This is kind of interesting

NYPD No. 3's order to crack down on selling loose cigarettes led to chokehold death of Eric Garner

"An order to crack down on the illegal sale of 75-cent cigarettes in Staten Island came directly from Police Headquarters, setting off a chain of events that ended in Eric Garner’s death, the Daily News has learned.

Chief of Department Philip Banks — the highest-ranking uniformed cop in the city — sent a sergeant from his office at 1 Police Plaza in July to investigate complaints of untaxed cigarettes being sold in the Tompkinsville neighborhood, a source close to the investigation told The News.

“(Banks) set the whole thing in motion,” the source said.

The sale of loosies had been on Banks’ radar since at least March, when it was discussed at a meeting at Police Headquarters about quality-of-life issues, a police source said.

Banks’ office also conducted surveillance on Bay St. and took pictures, one of which shows three men believed to be involved in an illegal cigarette sale. The News reviewed the photograph and Garner is not in it."

Haven't commented here, but just wanted to say that this whole situation is fucked and I really wish that this did not happen. To top if off, I have been seeing people (both strangers and people I know) saying shit like "well, we are at war with the police" or "you live by the badge, you die by the badge". I think this sentiment towards the police has been exacerbated by the ruling on Eric Garner especially. I wholeheartedly disagree with arguments that he was resisting arrest or that he had it coming because he was selling loosies and was fat and diabetic. This Ishmaayil (or w/e) dude is not the only person I've seen who has talked about killing cops or wanting to kill cops. So far, he's the only one I've seen that has acted on this.

I'm not sure what happens after this incident or how it will change everything with the protests as well as the response to them.

I just hope that nobody else is killed.

*As an aside, I had to take that dude off of my ignore list just to see what you guys were going back and forth with him about. So many quotables..and all Perknose got him on was saying something about licking his butthole. NO JUSTICE!!!! *shakes fist*

I am glad to know that all of us here, regardless of color are part of this "hard working human race"

Funny you mentioned that women police officers are more likely to shoot themselves. I went to school with a girl who became a cop. And guess what? She accidentally shot herself in the leg. Why are women more likely to shoot themselves? Seems odd to me.

You made a few good points on my military statement. I think you might be correct. I brought up my friend before, and I will bring him up again. His name is David Romeo. He has Napoleon complex. He's 5'7 and a police officer. Never served in the military. He was sergeant with many years in the force. He got convicted of kicking two men in the face after they were arrested. They were handcuffed, sitting on the sidewalk when he came up and just kicked them in the face. None of his co-workers stood up for him when he tried to weasel out of the mess he caused himself. He got fired from his job, and is serving 5 years in jail. He lost everything. His father is a retired cop, and his brother is currently a police officer. I've heard his father was a real POS. He also appealed last year and lost.

they should have put a bullet in that scumbag cop friend of yours. sad he got off with only serving a year of what would have been a five year sentence.

the sad thing about these two cops being executed in NY is that they probably were good cops, not corrupt by the system and the power of being a LEO. I feel really bad for these guys and their families and it just breaks my heart.

Do you not realize that for the past 3+ pages, people have been making fun of you? You have done nothing but show how fucking immature and stupid you are in this thread...and yet, you are trying to call me names?

You are a pathetic person, your soul is dog shit. You managed to allow Dari to make you look stupid...goddamn. You suck. Eat a dick (is that allowed? I don't care).

Merry Christmas and have a happy New Year!

About your friend Dari, this is what another poster said about him in another thread, not me =

Ugh, every time I see a Dari hate post I just want to suck 10 dicks out of spite and I'm not even gay.

He lied just like you did before. I pinned him down and asked for evidences that he accused me of (just like you did). Of course, he ran away with tail between legs just like you did before. You two are perfect example of stupid birds of a feather flock together. Dumb and Dumber. ROTFLMFAO.

Get lost, liar. Go whine and pull the "whooooaaaaa,, I am too stupid to lie so I will pull the sooooo racist card again" elsewhere. LOL.
