2 Nics and lost connections?

OK I have 2 Nic in this P4 1.3, ones a 3com 3c920 built onto board,
seconds a Hawkings 102TX I think. Problem is when the Hawkings installed I will loose connection to a online game, I will get booted mostly, but at times PC will lock up. I thought it was the ICS, but after reworking network so this PC is the only one on this line and other thru another pc, I still have the same problem even with ICS removed. Once the card was removed games perfect.
Could it be cause its just a cheap NIC card?
Any Ideas?

It's possible that the network card isn't fully compatible with your system. It wouldn't be the first time I've seen this happen. I suggest picking a linksys or netgear network card and seeing if that will fix your problems.
 
Thanks, that what I figured I had to do. But I didn't want to spend the extra cash if it wouldn't help. I know that I can not have 2 Hawkings in same PC I had that problem before.
