2 nics, 2 routers.... problems

I have a Netgear PCI Nic and onboard nforce 2 nic

The onboard is connected to the router that has the internet connection and uses DHCP, everything is working.

The Netgear Nic is connected to a D-Link DI 604 router which has DHCP disabled. I manually assign the connection an ip of 192.168.0.2 and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. XP is saying a cable is disconnected and the green led on the DI 604 never lights up

I reset the Dlink DI 604 also

What is the problem ?

IF Windows is saying the Network cable is disconnected, either the cable you are using to that Nic is defective or you are using a Crossover cable instead of a straight through cable. Also make sure it's plugged into one of the numbered Lan ports on the router and not the Uplink port!!
