2 new bugs in recent iOS update

Don't know why they changed this, but now interface sound volume is linked to music/media volume. So if your media volume is muted, even though your ringer is not in silent mode, you'll have no interface sounds. Kind of annoying, as I don't want my media volume maxed out without headphones plugged in but I miss the interface sounds.

Second bug is with Safari - now when you go back to a previous page it always goes to the top of the page, it no longer remembers the vertical scroll location you were on previously. Very annoying.

Interface sounds? I didn't know the interface made noise.

Not true. You might just be out of memory or there's some javascript on the page screwing with the UI.

I think you're talking about things like keyboard clicks and unlocking, locking, etc...

Go to Settings > Sounds

Make sure your switch isn't flipped off for 'Change with buttons'. This will cause your volume buttons to always control the media volume.

I have change with buttons off and always have, the sound behavior has changed with the latest update. The interface sounds used to be linked to the ringer volume, so that you could mute media volume but still hear keyboard/lock/etc sounds when the ringer was not in silent mode. But now the interface sounds are linked to media volume which is dumb and I think a bug.

what version are you on?

i'm on 7.0.3 / iphone4 and not experiencing those issues.

I just really don't like Safari's new tab interface for closing & switching between tabs. My fingers are too big to use it properly 🙁
