2 Networks Cards, 1 Computer

Heres a question I have access to different network connections is there a way two use network cards in one computer to maximize my internet connection, in either Windows 2000, or Linux. Much like the way RAID works for harddrives.

No!

The bandwidth that comes form the Internet is less then 10Mb/sec. (average cable 2-3Mb/sec. DSL usually much less).

In matter of fact if you have two Internet connections you can combine them, and get a better bandwidth using one NIC.


But you can drill the corner of the second NIC, and hang it on your car's rear view mirror it is really cool.

Actually, you can, if you have two WAN Connections (IE, Cable, and DSL)

You'd only need one NIC on your machine, as both Network Connections would go straight into the router pictured
here
