Hey all, quick network question:
My house is currently set up to use wireless networking. We'll call this network HOME. I have 2 desktops that are far enough away from the router that they need wireless to be connected to HOME. Only one computer has a wireless PCI card which connects it to HOME. However, i want to network my two desktops together in a network we'll call PERSONAL. HOME is set with the gateway as 192.168.0.1 and my IP is static DHCP at 192.168.0.102. PERSONAL is set with gateway as 192.168.10.10 and my IP is 192.168.10.100 via DHCP. My question is: How can i set up both networks so that i can access the files on my old PC (through PERSONAL) and still access the internet through HOME? Anytime i try enabling both adapters (wired=PERSONAL, wireless=HOME) whichever I enable second doesn't work, and sometimes the first stops working. I'm running Windows XP Pro, SP2 on both machines. Let me know if there's any more info I can add. Thanks!

I know this probably isn't the response you're looking for but why did you decide to go with two separate networks?

You want to make sure that you ONLY have a default gateway set on the connection that has the Internet router - If that's HOME, great. Leave that DG and take the one off of the PERSONAL NIC config. (or vice versa in PERSONAL has the Internet connection) That should take care of your problem.
