2 More Black Friday Deaths

Holy Crap! What is wrong with people!

How many lives are ruined today because of some idiot getting pissed off over saving $20. I missed out on the L4D $20 deal and spent $40 for the 360 version, doesn't mean i'm going to shoot someone!!!

EDIT: Some stories do have happy endings. Looks like two gangbangers ended up taking each other out and no one else was injured.

Yet another reason I stay home on BF. Other than the fact that you can get most of the same or better deals during the regular year if you know where to look. 😉

Deal websites, Amazon, Craigslist, and FleaBay FTW. 🙂

This news is pretty disgusting though. Who the hell shoots someone over some kids' toys?

People who deserve to get shot, that's who.

I enjoy hanging out with friends in line and making new acquaintances more than the good deals or new releases sometimes. Assuming everyone's head is on straight, which it seems to be in my neck of the woods, Black Friday openings are pretty 'normal' and safe. Hectic, yes, but safe.

Not all is peachy, though...I believe someone got trampled (and needed medical attention) at our local Wal-Mart a year or two ago. I am not sure if it was for Black Friday or for something like the Nintendo Wii release.

Yeah, it's a big secret.

Seems really weird. The BF stores I've been to, they have really organized ways of crowd management... well formed lines, only letting a few people in at a time, etc etc

Oh yeah - I don't know how Wal-Mart runs their stuff, but I always go to Best Buy. For the past few years, they've had hired the local Police Department to have several cops on hand a few hours before the opening for crowd control. Wal-Mart may have changed their ways since then, but I can't speak from experience. 😛
