2 monitors in windows XP...

ok, I've hooked up 2 monitors for the purpose of DJ'n... I'm running windows on one monitor, and a visual program on the other...

only question is, I can't get my mouse to show up in the other monitor when the visual program is running (so I can't update songs in winamp and what not...)

any ideas on how to shift between monitors or what not?

It helps if you have the right kind of video adapters. I like GeForce 4 chipsets and have used multiple monitors on my laptop before with the help of a docking station. (laptop XGA and an CRT)

Other than that, you shouldn't have any problems as long as you drag the mouse to the other screen.

yeah but the mouse wont drag to the other screen... and I don't know why

Is this a full screen style visual program? If so you may be having that app take control of the total display. Here's what I'm going off of, it may not be what happens to you...

At work we have some dual output quadro4's and when you play a full screen game, the second monitor does all kinds of wierd stuff but it's basically useless... sometimes it looks like desktop stuff, but you can't use it for anything.

is there ANY way I could toggle between the monitors... any hidden shortcuts built into windows XP?

I really want to get it so I can dj and do what I want to do!
