Why deleted my posting Jan/12/2001 9:28 PM.?
I very need in this...
?

Your thread was some sort of dummy post with no meaning to anyone other than yourself. Its first sentence was 'Don't post in this topic please'.

Can you imagine how cluttered and annoying the forums would become if every member decided to post private messages or sig-testing threads for themselves? If you think you need a 'test post', at least give it some meaningful content.

Actually, those who want to 'test' their sigs can just look at any of their old posts. Once your sig is changed, it changes in ALL your posts, including those you made in the past.

Why for do you speak in dangling participles?

Leave the guy alone. English may not be his forté, but he is speaking more than one language. I'm sure 99% of the people here making snide remarks only know phrases they learned at fast food restaurants, and most could not carry on an intelligent conversation anyway, even in their native language. :D

Now, now!

If I can stop laughing for a minute, we should welcome ilist.

Welcome to the wonderful world of OT, ilist. Make your profile visible so that we can know who we are harrassing.

;)

edit: I'm 3rd generation to be born in America and I still mangle English.

"I'm going to wash the TV while I watch the laundry" is a sentence I have a hard time mastering! Spanglish is hard to rise above. :)

English is not my first language. I get laughed at when I say "close" the TV or "close" the light instead of "turn off." In chinese it's close the etc... so I just directly translated it over to English...:)

arghh jimmy gates, I have the exact opposite problem, Chinese is my first language but I know english way better (moved over when I was 5, top every english exam :) ). Now my parents get really annoyed when I use the same "wear" for hat(dai) and clothes(chuan) :(.

Note: this is mandarin chinese- the PROPER language
