First off I was using microsft word 2000 on my computer and was sent a file that was a .doc but when i went to open it up i got a MS Word can't open file format. It asked if i would like to instll converter which i did from cd and still no go. A bunch of garble shows up where the text should be. Upgraded to Word XP and same thing. Any ideas
2nd problem. I was given a cd with 6 .docs on them which i transferred to my computer to work on them. 5 of the 6 open up without a hitch but the 6th one when i double click on it causes my computer to reboot. No matter is i open it in word or by clicking it on the desktop my computer reboots. I tried tpo open the file on another computr and theres rebooted. Whats goin on
