i have an extra keyboard and mouse laying around and my lcd has support for both dvi and vga. there is also a "source" button on the front to select between the dvi and vga ports. is there any issue i am now aware of by using the lcd with 2 machines? nothing is stated in the owner's manual but just thought i would ask so i don't burn it out for some unforseen reason.

lcd is a samsung 730b

My son is doing something similar. His computer is into his LCD via the dvi port. He won a new Xbox 360 (lucky guy!) and plugged it into the LCD on the analog port - works just fine, easy to switch on the monitor.

i use the Linksys KVM (PS2(x2)/USB/VGA) switch it's very good, unlike those from Belkin or any other names or no names
