a buddy of mine is running aohell 7 along w/ ev1 since he d/l'ed aol 7 he's had probs and now evry time he tries to get online with either he's getting tcp/ip errors and can't get online. i'm guessing there fighting over a file or being the default isp. i haven't put an eyeball on this box , this is all the description he's given me. anybody had a prob like this b-4? jer

Why does he need AOL and the other one at the same time? If at all possible, get rid of AOL as soon as possible. Although, I'm afraid you still might need to reinstall, but hopefully simply uninstalling AOL will solve the problem.

It sounds like he is trying both via broadband (TCP/IP) link, and that depends a lot on what his mordem and router setup is. I have both AOL and a regular ISP. The AOL is only a backup for use when travelling in other states and overseas. The regular ISP is local only. I can access both at the same time but only by using separate links - i.e., AOL on dial-up with modem, and the regular ISP on DSL.

Yes - if you travel a lot, the 10 hour version of AOL at only $4.95 a month is worth it. It is a good back up as well whenever broadband gets sick or dies.
