2 iphones, 1 itunes - podcasts

when i bought my 3GS, I gave my 3G iphone to my wife.

I subscribe to a couple of dozen podcasts and synch my phone just about every day. Up til now, she hasn't synched to the PC, she just charges up her phone via the wall charger.

However, if she ever wanted to subscribe to her own podcasts, how can I tell itunes to only synch MY podcasts to my phone & hers to her phone?

That should just work. When you synch an iPhone, there's a tab for podcasts, and then it lists all of the podcasts on the computer and you can either sync all podcasts or the ones that are checked below it. So you both select all of the podcasts for the computer to keep up to date for both of you - which will be your podcasts and hers. And then when you plug in your iPhone, and it brings up your iPhone on iTunes, say it's called "rob's iphone" on your iTunes tabs for your "rob's iPhone" you select to sync the podcasts checked below and choose yours. Then unplug your iPhone, plug hers in and now it will say "rob's wife's iphone" and then on her iPhone iTunes tabs - which are different per phone - she does the same thing and selects the option to individually select podcasts and selects hers. It should work fine... not that I've ever done this.

thanks.. i was trying to get around having to manually select the individual podcasts I wanted to synch each time I plugged the phone in.

I was hoping there was some sort of profile I could load for each device

It should keep the list as a profile for use each time separately for each user - just like you want.

Every time I plug in my iPhone, it has the same boxes selected, and when I plugged in my wife's iPhone (for the brief period she had one), hers were selected.
