2 Instances of XP on startup?

Ok, tried to setup the new comp with a SATA drive, XP doesn't find it (realized its a common problem after it happened) so I grab an old HD from the other computer that had XP on it and did a full format of XP pro. Then I copied that drive over to the SATA drive (using seagates DiscWizard). Xp pro runs fine now, but at start up there are two instances of XP Pro and having to pick one everytime I boot windows gets annoying.

Is there a way to get rid of that second install without having to reformat the drive again? If I boot from the XP CD will it show up as a seperate partition or install? I'd hate to have to reinstall the other drive again and copy it all back to the SATA drive. I also didn't install a floppy drive (I know, I know, i'll most likely cave and get one) so I can't put the SATA drivers onto a disk.

I searched the forums, but didn't find anything very helpful.

Hope its an easy solution, thanks,

J~

Edit your boot.ini file. You may need to unhide it before you can edit it. Or, go to System properties (in the Control panel), to the advanced tab and then set the "Display list" option to 0. That should eliminate the problem too.
