2 instances of Windows 2000 and one XP multiboot config... uh oh

So the golden rule of multibooting is oldest OS first, right? Well, my RAID drivers that came with my mobo (S939 Neo2 Plat) says 'Win XP only' in big letters on it. I'm using dual Raptors, and planned on using standard Raid 0 with :

C:\ - XP
D:\ - Programs / Apps / Games (for XP partition)
E:\ - 2000
F:\ - 2000

Just wondering how in the hell I manage this... Any suggestions? I plan on having the two 2000 installs only 5GB each using no apps or anything from D:\, just as total solitary installs independant on their own. The XP install will be 10GB with the remaining space for D:\ (games, apps, etc).

Anyone have any idea how I can manage this? I can't install XP first.. can I? Since my Raid drivers are XP only, I've gotten worried.

I'm not computer illiterate or anything (watercooling coming in a few weeks), I'm just not very Windows savvy when it comes to something like this. All guides I've found are basically 2000 / XP only, with no Raid installs going on and no other version of 2000. Any advice would be appreciated.

Ugh, I'd rather do a VMWare solution than what you're proposing. Is that an option?

Test to see if the Windows 2000 install will load the drivers anyway. Try booting off the 2000 CD
and loading them as part of the setup. If they will load there, then you have a good chance
of them working from the full install of 2000.

I will. The 2K / XP2 slipstreamed CD's haven't.... made their way... to my house yet....

I was looking for guides and was worried about the Raid drivers. Obviously the best answer is to just try it, was just hoping someone might have had experience with it in the past :)

Now I'm thinking I might do this, if I can :

10GB C:\ - Windows XP
xxGB D:\ - Programs, apps, etc for C:\ (main partition)
5GB E:\ - Windows 2000 (DX8.1)
5GB F:\ - Windows 2000 (DX9.0)
5GB G:\ - Windows 2003 Server

In case you're wondering why in gods name I need all this, well, I'm a benchmark whore, that's why ;) Certain benchmarks run better under certain OS's with certain settings (DX versions for example), so that's the purpose.

Now to find a way to do this, tweak each OS and make slipstreamed installs of each of those OSes....

Oh god :(
